  • How do I book?
Email or call us to book in and get some more information. We will discuss course start dates, arrange for an invoice to be sent to you and go over any further questions you may have. You can also use the 'Book now' button at the bottom of the course information pages which will open a new email address ready for you!
  • Are there any medical requirements?
Yes, you will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire before any practical activities, which can be found here.
  • Do I need to be able to swim?
As part of the Open Water course, students are asked to complete a waterskills assessment. This includes a 200m swim and 10 minute tread water.
  • When can I start?
We run pool sessions on Thursday evenings between 8-10pm and regular Saturday afternoons between 12.30-2.30pm at Blackshots Leisure Centre in Grays, RM16 2JU. If you are on an Open Water course, or participating in a scuba experience programme, you will attend here for your practical pool skills. As long as your medical and other paperwork is good to go, you can likely start as early as the next Thursday coming!
  • How long does the course take?
All our courses are performance-based, meaning we don't give a definitive time frame or limit you to a set number of sessions for completion. On average, the PADI Open Water course takes 5-6 sessions, which ensure you move to the next module being fully comfortable and competent with the skills you've done so far. We have regular training weekends at open water sites throughout the year so will be able to work out an attendance plan for your training and tailor a course schedule that works for you.
